ai penetration testing

A pentest that runs when you need it, not once a year.

CodeReviewer's AI pen tester reads your threat model and scan results, signs in as your users and tries to prove each risk in a real browser. You get confirmed findings with evidence and the steps to reproduce them, not a list of maybes.

threat model

the problem

Manual pentests are rare, slow and out of date the day after.

A manual pentest is booked weeks ahead and covers the app as it was on the day of the test.

Scanner findings are guesses. Someone still has to prove which ones are real.

Access-control bugs, like one customer reading another's data, are the hardest for scanners to see.

how it works

From trigger to result.

Verify your domain

Pen tests only run against domains you have proven you own, checked again when the run starts.

Add your roles

Give it test logins for one or more roles so it can check whether one user can reach another's data.

It plans from your threats

The run is steered by your threat model, earlier scan findings and the journeys recorded for your app.

It proves, then reports

Each risk is tried in a real browser. Only confirmed issues are reported, with payload, evidence and screenshots.

Fix and re-test

Confirmed findings go to your issue inbox with remediation. Re-run after the fix to confirm it holds.

capabilities

What you get.

Confirmed findings only

Every finding carries the request, payload, evidence, screenshot and reproduction steps. Nothing is reported on a hunch.

Access control across roles

With two or more logins it checks for broken object-level access, privilege escalation and authentication bypass.

Common web risks covered

Cross-site scripting, SQL injection, open redirects, server-side request forgery, CSRF and security misconfiguration.

Mapped and graded

Findings carry severity, CWE and MITRE ATT&CK references, and the run gets an A to F grade with a list of everything attempted.

Full session record

Each run keeps a video, a network log and screenshots, so your team can see exactly what was tried.

Non-destructive by design

It never deletes data, changes passwords, pays, or sends messages. Any test change is small, labelled and reverted where possible, and a proof-only mode makes a run read-only.

Only on domains you own

Penetration testing without permission is illegal, and a tool that can be pointed anywhere is a liability. CodeReviewer runs pen tests only against domains you have verified with a DNS record or a well-known file. Ownership is checked when you start a run and again when it begins. The browser it uses can reach only your verified domain and its subdomains, never shared hosting suffixes or internal addresses.

From proof to pull request

Every confirmed finding comes with what was sent, what came back and how to reproduce it. If your repository is connected, findings land in your issue inbox, where CodeReviewer can locate the code that needs to change and open a fix for review.

faq

Questions, answered.

What is AI penetration testing?

It is automated security testing where an AI agent works like a pentester. It plans from your threat model, tries each likely weakness in a real browser and reports only what it can prove.

Is it safe to run against production?

It is built to be non-destructive. It only runs on verified domains, stays inside your own domain, never deletes data or changes account settings, and keeps request volume modest. For the strictest runs, turn on proof-only mode, which makes the run read-only. Many teams start on staging.

Does it replace a manual pentest?

For many teams it covers the gap between manual pentests, and some use it before a manual test so the expensive hours go on the hard problems. If a customer or regulator requires a human-led pentest, keep that and use this to stay ready for it.

What does it not test?

It does not attempt remote code execution, command injection, deserialization or template injection, and it does not reach cloud metadata or internal networks. Those belong in a scoped manual engagement.

How do we get a report?

Confirmed findings appear in the VAPT report alongside your scans and threat model, with an executive summary and remediation plan, and can be downloaded as a PDF.
