mobile testingBeta

Real phones. Not emulators.

Upload your Android app and CodeReviewer writes tests the same way it does for the web. It reads your code, taps through the app and records real tests. Then it replays them on real devices, for free.

the problem

Mobile QA is still mostly thumbs.

Emulators miss the bugs real hardware finds: keyboards, permissions, speed on mid-range phones.

Scripted mobile tests are slow to write and brittle, so most teams test by hand before each release.

Device labs are expensive, and wiring phones into a test pipeline takes days of setup.

how it works

From trigger to result.

Upload your app

Add the APK for the build you want to test.

Pair a phone

Install the CodeReviewer agent app on an Android phone and pair it by scanning a QR code.

AI authors the tests

It learns the flows from your code and taps through them on the real device, recording each test.

Replay on every build

Re-run the suite on demand or on a schedule. Replays don't use AI, so they're free.

capabilities

What you get.

Real devices

Tests run on physical Android phones, so you catch the bugs your users' hardware will find.

Bring your own phones

Register your own devices. Pairing is one QR scan. No root access, and no laptop tethered to the phone.

Same authoring flow as web

Review the test plan, watch the tests being written live, and get the same run reports: screenshots, video and step traces.

Free, unlimited replays

Author once with AI, then replay as often as you like without using your allowance.

Self-healing and quarantine

Broken tests are repaired when the app changes, and flaky ones are benched instead of failing the suite.

Device management

See which phones are online, which project they serve, and manage them from one admin screen.

Why real hardware matters

Most mobile defects that reach users are device-specific: a keyboard that covers the submit button, a permission dialog the emulator never showed, a list that stutters on a mid-range phone. Running on physical Android devices means your tests see what your users see.

A device lab without the lab

You don’t need a rack of phones or a dedicated machine. Any Android phone can join by installing the CodeReviewer agent app and scanning a pairing code. Admins see every registered device in one place and assign them to the projects that need them.

faq

Questions, answered.

Which platforms are supported?

Android today. You upload your app's APK and tests run on real Android phones.

Do we need to root the phones or keep a laptop attached?

No. Install the agent app, scan a QR code to pair, and the phone is ready. No root, no USB tether.

Can we use our own devices?

Yes. Register the phones your team already owns. Ideally the ones closest to what your users carry.

How is this different from an emulator farm?

Emulators approximate a phone. Real devices have real keyboards, permission prompts, manufacturer quirks and speed limits. That's where mobile bugs tend to live.

Why is it marked Beta?

Mobile testing is usable today and growing fast. Beta means we're still widening coverage and value your feedback.
